Another well-known brand could be getting ready for the Web3 industry. According to a tweet from trademark lawyer Mike Kondoudis, The Home Depot has submitted 24 Web3 trademark applications covering its name, logo, and brands. On November 17, 2022, the trademark applications were submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
17 brands, including Hampton Bay, Husky, and Lifeproof, have apparently had trademark applications submitted; these applications cover NFTs, virtual items, and online retail stores. This gives rise to the possibility that home improvement services may soon be available in virtual or augmented reality settings.
Applications on Web3 for businesses like The Home Depot are lucrative thanks to the rise of popular initiatives like Decentraland and The Sandbox. Its most recent action may result in the creation of NFTs, digital avatars, and home improvement products for usage in the Metaverse.
When you can buy things from the Metaverse store, why waste fuel? Just a virtual reality headset will do.
