For $99, the former US president is offering digital trading cards featuring him as a superhero, astronaut, and other characters.
Today, Donald Trump unveiled a set of NFT trading cards that reportedly come with real-world benefits, such a meet-and-greet with the former president of the United States or an invitation to a gala dinner. And the news has surprised both NFT supporters and Trump backers.

Trump promoted the Collect Trump Cards initiative on Thursday using his official Truth Social account. According to the post, the digital trading cards, which are issued on the Ethereum sidechain network Polygon, would cost $99 each and allow buyers to participate in a contest to win various rewards.

Like a baseball card, but perhaps even more interesting, “Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards,” he wrote today. Would be a wonderful Christmas present. Stop waiting. I think they’ll be gone very fast.

Despite prior unauthorized endeavors, this is the first time that Trump himself has released NFT souvenirs. For instance, the social network Parler published NFTs this year that were influenced by Donald Trump. On Polygon, Trump’s collection has a total of 45,000 NFTs, with a cap of 100 NFTs per user.
