The East and Africa are showing more excitement for the metaverse and web3, compared to the West, as per a recent analysis by CoinKickoff. The study, which analyzed 1.6 million tweets, revealed that opinions on the metaverse vary greatly across the world.
Vietnam had the most positive outlook, with 56.8% of tweets being favorable. Other countries in the region, such as the Philippines and Indonesia, also showed support. Eastern Europe and Africa were also generally positive, with Nigeria and Ukraine leading the way.
However, Western countries, such as Ireland, Denmark, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada, showed less enthusiasm. Despite this, the use of web3 continues to grow in the West, with Nokia and Woodstock leading the way. Nokia is using the metaverse to connect remote beer breweries and aircraft technicians, while Woodstock sees it as a tool for connection and democratization. NFT platform Sorare also signed a deal with the Premier League, further demonstrating the growing potential for the metaverse.
Although sentiment may be more positive in Asia and Africa, recent developments show the potential for the metaverse as a tool for connection and innovation, both in the East and West.
