Bitcoin Ordinals (NFTs) Marketplace on Magic Eden, minting on Gamma.io

The adoption of Bitcoin NFTs is on the rise, with over 568,000 inscriptions just two months after the launch of the Ordinals project. To make it easier for traders to buy, sell, and list these unique collections, Magic Eden has unveiled a Bitcoin NFT marketplace. Although the Solana-based platform has been expanding its operations to other chains such as Ethereum and Polygon, it has now integrated with Hiro and Xverse, two popular Bitcoin wallets, to enable traders to sell and purchase Bitcoin-based NFTs.

According to Jack Lu, the CEO and cofounder of Magic Eden, Bitcoin’s simplicity is what makes it an attractive option for creators who want to make true collectibles that are inscribed on the chain. To onboard more users, Magic Eden has partnered with popular projects such as inscribed pepes, Taproot Wizards, and Bitcoin Bandits. Zhuoxun Yin, cofounder of Magic Eden, emphasizes the significance of the burgeoning NFT ecosystem and the company’s focus on cross-chain initiatives.

The new marketplace will provide helpful information about listed collectibles, such as rarity and inscription numbers. Magic Eden’s move follows in the footsteps of Gamma.io, which launched its marketplace for trading and minting Bitcoin NFTs earlier this week. With the growing popularity of Bitcoin NFTs, Magic Eden’s marketplace is a welcome addition for traders and collectors alike.
