FIFA+ Collect Scores Big – NFT Extravaganza Hits Algorand and Polygon

FIFA is jazzing up the NFT stage with a fresh batch of collectibles set to drop on both Algorand and Polygon networks, just in time for the FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023. This move is part of FIFA’s new collaboration with crypto maestro Modex, the brains behind FIFA’s digital collectibles hub, FIFA+ Collect. Launched last year with an exclusive Algorand NFT lineup, the platform is now stepping onto Polygon’s catwalk through OpenSea drops.

But don’t get it twisted – FIFA isn’t breaking up with Algorand; it’s just expanding its horizons. FIFA+ Collect is about to unleash a thousand scorching NFTs during the FIFA Club World Cup bash. The first hundred gems will sizzle on Algorand starting December 15, with whispers that they might even score you golden tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. The remaining 900 NFTs? They’re making a grand entrance on OpenSea’s runway come December 19. And guess what? Polygon is getting its own slice of the action with extra FIFA NFT drops on OpenSea.

Now, there was a bit of a mix-up – Polygon Labs spilled the beans that the “project has now moved to Polygon,” but FIFA swooped in to set the record straight. It’s not a move; it’s an expansion dance, and Algorand is still very much in FIFA+ Collect’s game plan. The FIFA rep even dropped some knowledge about always keeping an eye on the user kingdom’s best interests.

Oh, and in case you missed the kickoff, the FIFA Club World Cup started the party in Jeddah, featuring top-tier teams like English Premier League champs Manchester City. It’s a whole NFT fiesta, a blend of soccer spectacle and blockchain glitz brought to you by FIFA’s snazzy moves in the crypto universe.
