Airdrop for Magic Eden Ordinals traders

The imminent airdrop of the “NFT” token by the Non-Fungible DAO is poised to benefit Bitcoin Ordinals traders active on the Magic Eden marketplace—past, present, and future.

Announcing the details via a tweet on Thursday, the Non-Fungible DAO disclosed that users of the Magic Eden-developed MSigner, an open-source tool facilitating the signing of Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions (PSBTs) for Ordinals transactions, will receive rewards in the upcoming token airdrop.

According to the DAO’s tweet, over 75 million PSBTs have been signed to date using MSigner, with more than 1.3 million Ordinals swaps executed on the marketplace. Expressing readiness to support other platforms adopting MSigner, the DAO hinted that traders on such platforms might also stand to benefit from the airdrop.

Introduced in January, the NFT token is described by the DAO as a “community-owned, decentralized organization dedicated to developing and promoting the protocols shaping the future of NFT commerce.”

Thus far, the Non-Fungible DAO has been closely aligned with Magic Eden, currently the leading cross-chain marketplace by trading volume. Magic Eden has committed to open-sourcing and sharing its diverse NFT minting and trading technologies with the DAO, which plans to reward users of these protocols through the token airdrop.

The list of supported protocols currently includes MSigner on Bitcoin, along with Magic Eden’s Ethereum launchpad contract and its Solana marketplace and collection offers/automated market maker smart contracts. While plans to reward Bitcoin Ordinals traders using MSigner had been previously mentioned, specific details had not been provided until now.
