Latvia’s national airline, AirBaltic, has curated an exclusive occasion named the “airBaltic Backstage Experience” catered specifically for holders of their NFT collection, the Planies NFTs. This event is an integral facet of airBaltic’s Club loyalty program, aiming to unveil exclusive insights into the inner workings of the airline. Scheduled to unfold at airBaltic’s headquarters in Riga, Latvia on May 17, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, attendees can anticipate an immersive journey into the operational realm of the airline.
A select group of 25 Planies holders will enjoy exclusive access to areas of the airline’s headquarters that are typically off-limits to the public. Planies, airBaltic’s pioneering NFT-based airline loyalty program, offers digital collectibles featuring unique cartoon artwork of their aircraft. Each NFT provides holders with distinct travel benefits, including free business class travel, exclusive entry to special events, travel rewards, and more.

With nearly 2,000 users enrolled, the Planies program has already distributed millions of air miles, greatly benefiting airBaltic Club members. Attendees of the “airBaltic Backstage Experience” will have the rare opportunity to meet Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, and explore the airline’s technical maintenance hangar. Here, they will witness maintenance operations firsthand, gaining valuable insights into the airline’s day-to-day operations.
Moreover, the event will include a visit to the airBaltic Training Centre, where participants can learn about pilot and crew training programs. They will also have the chance to try out airBaltic’s flight simulators, providing a unique hands-on experience. Interested individuals are required to complete an online registration form by March 28. Selected participants will receive further details via email, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience at the exclusive “airBaltic Backstage Experience” event.
