GameCamp Arena 2024 is set to invigorate the Web3 gaming scene, thanks to a collaboration between Elympics and the TON Foundation. Running from July 29 to September 8, 2024, this event challenges developers to create up to 40 competitive games using the Elympics SDK and the TON blockchain, all competing for a share of a $15,000 grant pool.
This competition offers Web3 game developers a prime opportunity to showcase their talents to Telegram’s vast audience of over 900 million monthly users. Aimed at sparking innovation among Unity developers, game designers, and graphic artists, the event promises substantial rewards. The prize pool will be distributed among the top three games as judged by the GameCamp jury.
Throughout the six-week event, Elympics and TON will provide developers with support through online workshops and AMA sessions, offering valuable insights into technology and game design. Tom Kopera, COO of Elympics, highlighted the initiative’s potential to draw new talent to Web3 gaming, emphasizing the accessible tools and expert guidance available to participants.
The TON ecosystem, built on Telegram, has seen impressive growth, with Notcoin reaching 40 million users in six months and Hamster Kombat achieving over 200 million registered users and 30 million daily active users. The $TON token facilitates transactions, governance, and incentives, bolstering TON’s role in the burgeoning social gaming landscape.
