Chiru Labs, a pioneering Web3 startup known for its popular Ethereum NFT collection Azuki, is taking the Azuki universe to new heights with the introduction of 20,000 Azuki Elementals. These non-fungible tokens will build upon the original anime-themed project by offering a fresh selection of profile pictures (PFPs).
Token Airdrop and Upcoming Sale
To the delight of current Azuki holders, half of the 20,000 Elementals have already been airdropped to them. The surprise announcement was made during the “Follow the Rabbit” community event in Las Vegas and was warmly received by the attendees.
The remaining Azuki Elementals will be available for purchase through a Dutch auction starting on Tuesday at 9:20 am PST. Each token will have an initial price of 2 ETH (approximately $3,750), which will gradually decrease every 5 minutes until all the tokens are sold. It’s important to note that the final selling price of an NFT will be the buying price for all purchasers, and early buyers will receive a refund if there is a difference in price.
In addition, current Azuki NFT owners will have a 20-minute preferential pre-sale period before the auction begins, allowing them to acquire additional Elementals. Beanz NFT owners, a collection that originated from Azuki, will also have a 10-minute head start before the public sale to purchase Elementals NFTs.
The Enigmatic Azuki Elementals
While specific details about the Elementals collection are yet to be revealed, its slogan, “Four Domains, One Garden,” offers a glimpse into the theme. It suggests a mythical landscape divided into four distinct kingdoms, each associated with a classical element: fire, water, earth, and lightning. “The Garden” refers to the larger Azuki community, which spans both the digital metaverse and real-world collaborations and events, showcasing the seamless integration of virtual and physical realms in the era of Web3.
Azuki NFTs: Pioneering Anime Avatars
Chiru Labs, the mysterious team behind the prominent Metaverse brand Azuki, has been making waves since its inception. The unveiling of their virtual world, “The Garden,” in January 2022 marked the beginning of their remarkable journey. The launch of over 10,000 anime-inspired avatars as NFTs quickly generated $29M in sales within minutes, followed by an additional $2M through private sales.
The allure of Azuki NFTs lies in their distinct design. The brand’s skateboarder aesthetic embraces a deliberate counter-cultural style, resonating strongly with the crypto community’s rebellious spirit.
