Manchester City to Launch ‘Blue Moon NFTs’ in Collaboration with OKX

Man City is set to launch its second series of free NFTs, dubbed ‘Blue Moon NFTs,’ through the ‘Unseen City Shirts’ initiative with OKX tomorrow at 9.59 am (BST). Following the success of the inaugural ‘The Roses and the Bees’ series, which saw 67,328 assets claimed in under five hours, these digital collectibles will transform the iconic Man City 23/24 shirt into limited-edition NFTs.

Expectations are high for the upcoming NFTs, with various rarity levels anticipated, including Rare and Ultra-Rare categories, offering exclusive Manchester City rewards. Details on the rarity of each NFT will be disclosed after the claiming period ends on May 3, with prize distribution information sent to NFT holders within 14 business days.

Each NFT in the Unseen City Shirts program is designed to be non-transferable, unsellable, and non-tradable, highlighting their exclusivity. The previous collaboration, The Roses and the Bees, was a massive hit, selling out on the OKX digital marketplace within five hours. Inspired by Manchester’s Lancaster rose and worker bee symbols, it featured distinctive designs by concept kit designer Christian Jeffery.

While details about the Blue Moon NFTs are yet to be fully revealed, fortunate owners of The Roses and the Bees Rare collectibles can look forward to unique jerseys, hospitality tickets, and an exclusive stadium tour. The partnership between Manchester City and OKX, the club’s official partner since 2022, continues to flourish, with the Unseen City Shirts initiative showcasing their strong alliance on the OKX NFT marketplace. Additionally, Man City’s collaboration with Quidd, a digital collectible platform, offers over 200 NFT cards featuring players and iconic moments from the club’s history, with some cards granting real-world rewards like merchandise, tickets, and exclusive experiences.
